Republic Crane and Equipment Company is the United States Distributor for Liebherr Hydraulic Scrap Handlers. Republic Crane maintains offices in Charlotte, NC and Florence, KY. We work with major equipment dealers located throughout the country.
Republic Crane was founded by Bill Allen in 1978 along with our former sister company Republic Alloys, a scrap processor in the Charlotte area. His 30 plus years of industry experience are backed by a team of people who have worked strictly in the scrap industry and have an average of 20 years experience as well.
We are proud to serve a niche market with a product-line that is specifically developed and manufactured for our industry. Liebherr has been building Scrap Handlers for over 40 years and builds more than 20 different models for our market.
The Liebherr family business was established in 1949 by Hans Liebherr. The great success of his first mobile, easy-to-assemble and affordable tower crane was the foundation on which the company flourished.
